Sometimes the best one can do is pin something together, wing it, and hope for the best. It's a moment when improbable things can come together to create an illusion that all is well organized and operating as expected. As with the dialog between what our eyes see and our brain perceives, it is messy and imprecise and ad hoc, a Rube Goldberg operating system, seriously of the moment.

Private Contingencies is a personal investigation of fragility and resilience, and the persistence of story-telling.

It is how a person's brain tells a story, finds a pattern, out of bits and pieces, to make sense of the world.
